I really used to hate eging. Slow, spooky, relatively boring, and usually cold! I used to call it “edging” because I was always on the edge of selling all of my squid fishing tackle due to no success at all. I always preferred something faster, like shore jigging or spinning. I’ve never looked at shore squid fishing from a different perspective, as peaceful, relaxing, soothing, and tasty!
I’ve had no idea squid can bend my rod just like that! They have power and they strike ruthlessly out of nowhere. Now I must admit I really like eging and understand people who pursue it. Can’t say I have plenty of experience but I landed some admirable squids around 1kg and it was a game-changer for me. I don’t own professional eging tackle but I definitely plan to buy decent rod and reef for squid fishing. You will notice some sort of explosion in the video around a minute and a half into it.
While i was fishing for squid some idiot threw a firecracker close to me. It was supposed to be funny, it really wasn’t. If you want a recipe for “Lignje u šporko”, which literally translates to “Dirty Squids” let me know!
